About the Artist

For most of us, hectic schedules fill our days. Between work, school, kids, other life-things we have going on, there leaves little time for play. And we schedule that, too. Vacations are booked, outings are planned. The play part seems to come and go so fast, doesn't it?

When was the last time you gifted yourself a few moments to let your mind dance? (yes, your mind can dance.) No knock on meditation - I think it's a powerful tool to help better ourselves, our lives, and potentially the people around us. But little dancing goes on there. I'm talking about the extraordinary place in your thoughts where the fun stuff lives. The beautiful, sometimes peculiar, visions that most often appear in our dreams and quickly vanish by morning or shortly thereafter.

Indigo Minx is my mind-dancing alter ego. She can't help it, so she welcomes it. In a basement studio nestled in a small Connecticut town, she lights her cinnamon incense, turns on some reggae or oldies or The Lox (D-Block!), and elegantly transfers her dance partners to canvas.

An owl strutting confidently in a skirt and heels.

A tiger in a silk robe drinking wine.

A pear-shaped woman hammocking in a macrame plant holder.

Like you and Indigo Minx, all of them have a story.

All you have to do is a little daydreaming to hear them.
